About

Our Mission

Powered by our amazing staff, the aim of this site is to give everyone easy access to the most common rules, strategies, and fun gaming variations for ours and your favorite board and card games.

The digital era has bestowed upon us a unique privilege – the ability to connect with fellow gamers from every corner of the globe. Through online forums, chat rooms, and gaming platforms, we gather to discuss strategies, share experiences, and revel in the boundless creativity that fuels this cherished hobby.

We will be talking abut classics like Monopoly and Chess and Scrabble, of course. But over the past 20-30 years gaming, tabletop gaming and board and card games have seen an explosion in the rise of complex strategy games like Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride. Other popular card games we like to cover include Uno, a fast-paced number-matching game, and Magic: The Gathering, a collectible card game that involves deep strategic play.

The online environment has become a sanctuary for board and card gaming aficionados, a haven where ideas flow freely and friendships are forged through a common love for the games that grace our tables. It’s a place where novices can seek guidance, and seasoned players can engage in spirited debates about the finest intricacies of gameplay.

Moreover, the online space has democratized access to an extensive library of games, opening the doors to titles that might have otherwise remained undiscovered. Those games, too, we will cover on BoardsCards. We see long term this site maintaining itself as a huge archive, preserving the legacy of classic games while introducing us to innovative creations that challenge our intellect and ignite our competitive spirit to find those winning strategies.

Discussions about the latest releases, strategies for timeless classics, and reviews of hidden gems create a dynamic tapestry of knowledge that enriches our gaming journeys. The virtual realm empowers us to broaden our horizons, providing an avenue for exploration and growth within this ever-evolving world of tabletop gaming.

In this boundless virtual arena, we are more than experts and enthusiasts; we are a community united by a love for games that transcends borders, forging connections that enrich our lives both on and off the tabletop.

Our Content Creation Policy

The much-hyped AI revolution is on our doorstep. But instead of doing menial tasks as our Sci-Fi stories promised, it seems AI (also called Generative AI by some) is really good (or, rather, really efficient) at creating what humans might call ‘art’ or creative works. Writing, images, that kinda stuff.

Here at BoardsCards, we want to make our position on generative AI and use of AI for content very clear for our readers:

ALL CONTENT ON BOARDSCARDS IS REVIEWED BY, UPDATED BY, AND EDITED BY HUMANS who know about, have experience, or have researched the game topic at hand.

With that said, since we are a small team, it would be silly to ignore the huge time-saving and efficiency-promising power of generative AI. Where appropriate, we use AI in our content to ‘fill in the gaps’, usually in the form of images (because none of our team are particularly good graphic designers), to retrieve deep assets from the internet (like long-lost rulebooks) and to simplify some content because our team can sometimes say too much on a topic. But, yet again, we want to make it clear that every written word on BoardsCards is reviewed and edited by a human before publishing.

We hope you (in the long-term, at least) appreciate these efforts as we attempt to catalogue and guide you on every good game out there!

With love,
The BoardsCards team
